Valerian and lemon balm help
- To fall asleep
Eschscholzia contributes to
- To an optimal relaxation
Melilot, Linden and Passionflower reinforce the benefits of the product.
Some phytonutrients containing flavonoids (iridoids, alkaloids, etc.) have a mildly hypnotic and anxiolytic sedative action. The European Medicines Agency (EMA) recognises the benefits of valerian on mild nervous tension, stress and sleep disorders[1]. Valerian and lemon balm support the body in cases of insomnia and anxiety [2-3].
A combination of plants known for their relaxing and soothing effects
According to numerous studies and the EMA[4], eschscholzia extract, containing active ingredients such as californidin and protopin, can be used as an alternative to the sedative and anxiolytic action of sleeping pills[5-6].eschscholzia inhibits dopamine-B-hydroxylase, an enzyme that allows the conversion of dopamine to norepinephrine[7], which is known to increase anxiety. This plant also inhibits alpha-2-adrenergic receptors[8], which are involved in increasing anxiety. Sweet Clover aids digestion and promotes peripheral tissue perfusion.
The aerial parts of Passionflower[9] and Linden flowers[10] reinforce this soothing synergy by promoting GABAergic circuits.
