Venous insufficiency

Heavy legs, cramps, varicose veins?

Venous insufficiency is characterised by unpleasant sensations in the legs (heavy legs, venous pain, muscle cramps, etc.). More than 70% of diagnosed patients complain of numbness or a feeling of heaviness in the legs, especially at the end of the day. Visually, the distinguishing feature of CVI is the appearance of permanently dilated superficial veins under the skin. These winding veins, known as varicose veins, can develop into oedemas and spill some of the water contained in the blood into the tissues (connective tissue, muscle, etc.). In this case, there is swelling in the ankles or calves, which in the long term can lead to dermatological damage.

Promote good venous circulation!

Certain micronutrients such as vitamin C are considered to be protective agents for the blood vessels. In combination with rutin, vitamin C tones the venous wall, reduces the permeability of the capillaries and prevents oedema.

Other nutritional supplements such as potassium and magnesium reduce muscle cramps linked to poor circulation.

Polyunsaturated fatty acids, including omega-3, improve blood circulation and act as natural anti-inflammatories.
